With record flooding and high winds, the damage to the area has raised concerns for the long-term viability of coastal Alaskan villages and climate change.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, located along western Alaska\u2019s coast, was the primary area affected by the typhoon. This region is home to predominantly Indigenous communities with strong ties to the land and sea, deeply embedded in their homes, traditions, and lifestyles. Many residents are committed to rebuilding their damaged villages, choosing to stay or return despite some considering relocation. With winter drawing near, the need for immediate rebuilding efforts and assistance for these communities has become even more pressing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Help:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In times of crisis donating funds and supplies alongside spreading awareness are always critical.
